Largest International Commercial Vehicle Deal to Support Agricultural and Rural Logistics Deployment
Mumbai, February 10, 2026: Tata Motors has secured its largest-ever international commercial vehicle order, signing an agreement to supply 70,000 vehicles in Indonesia through its wholly owned indirect subsidiary, PT Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia.
Under the agreement, Tata Motors will supply 35,000 Tata Yodha pick-ups and 35,000 Tata Ultra T.7 trucks for deployment across Indonesia. The vehicles will be used to strengthen agricultural logistics, support farm-to-market transportation, and enhance regional goods movement nationwide.
Deployment to Strengthen Indonesia’s Food Security and Rural Supply Chains
The vehicles will be delivered to PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, an Indonesian state-owned enterprise focused on modernising agricultural supply chains and empowering rural cooperatives.
According to the official statement, the fleet will be rolled out in phases through agricultural cooperatives to ensure structured integration and sustained operational impact. The initiative aligns with Indonesia’s broader rural development and food security programs, including strategic national projects aimed at improving rural connectivity and economic resilience.
Tata Motors stated that both vehicle platforms are engineered to operate efficiently in diverse and demanding terrain conditions, helping lower logistics costs while improving uptime and operational efficiency.
